Why don't they shield the bottom of laptop computers, just the tops? The tester showed a lot of emf's.

I use my Sony Vaio lying down with the laptop on my abdomen, but with all the emf's, I can't do it anymore or I may get cancer in the long run. I didn't even think about it until my daughter asked me to test it. Yikes!

It's what the Japanese do to control overpopulation. They increase the EMFs through the bottom of the laptop to mess with people's reproductive organs. It's all a conspiracy, I'm telling ya'!

Good question. Maybe because they don't see any problem with emfs (electro motive forces) having anting to do with cancer! All electrical appliances have emf's and I don't think there has been one correlation between cancer and emf's madesince the inception of electricity. Radiation is a different story, but I don't think tour laptop has a microwave, or an X ray machine built in it. May be you are using one of those micro atomic batteries, being sold by the UFO underground, for your laptop?

By saying emf if you mean the voltage shown by using a tester on the body of the laptop then this is caused by improper grounding. If your power adapter and plug have three pin (many mac s as well as windows laptop have) and the electrical wiring is properly grounded then there should not be any of those emf. On the other hand if you use battery with power chord disconnected then you should not get emfs. Can you test with your tester after disconnecting the power chord and running the laptop with battery only.

Its true laptops should come with more adequate shielding on their bottom parts.

However I think that now people want sexy slim laptops, which the companies then deliver for them but which obviously don't provide adequate protection on their own.

You can get laptop protection / coolent pads to go underneath your laptop if your worried about it (and you should be).

I would definately recommend looking into it more.
