What is going on if nothing happens? I was on day 5 of a modified master cleanse and felt I needed to do more, but the internal body wash has not moved a thing. Does anyone have a suggestion

Thanks for your post. Great question.

I've done the Master Cleanse twice now it certainly inspired the Internal Body Wash. The Master Cleanse is an outstanding process, but many people, do not enjoy the lukewarm, plain salt water flush and omitted it. The Internal Body Wash is equally effective and far more palatable.

It's unclear how you've modified your Master Cleanse, however my suggestions would be to:
1) ensure you are performing the Internal Body Wash on an empty stomach,
2) drink herbal laxative tea the night before, and
3) double check you are using a tablespoon (not teaspoon) of herbal salt to a quart (approx 1 liter) of water and to add slightly more salt if a tablespoon isn't working for you.

Thanks again for you post.

Be well,

Thanks for your reply Craig. I had been following the Master cleanse (lemon, maple syrup and cayenne) for five days with one variation/addition. In the late afternoon I add 2 tsp of fish oil, mixed with 2 tsp of ground flaxseed and washed down with 1 or 2 cups of warm water. I have done this routine for several years - at each change of season and usually for 6-8 days at a time.
I had heard about the internal body wash and when I read about it on your site I decided that it wouldn't hurt to add it to what I was already doing. The first time I tried the broth I felt more nauseous for several hours and even with the evening and morning laxative tea and extra water I got absolutely no results. The second and third days I didn't have as much desire to throw up, but still no cleansing action. I opted to just continue for another day on master cleanse, but decided that any more salt in my system wouldn't be good.
I had no cramping or pain at all and my kidneys were working fine, so I still don't know what to make of the situation.

Sorry to hear you experienced nausea from your salt water flush and got no results. I get outstanding results every time and haven't had nausea since modifying the recipe of the standard Master Cleanse salt water flush to create the Internal Body Wash.

For those reading this who are unfamiliar, the Master Cleanse salt water flush calls for one quart of lukewarm water with 2 teaspoons of (unflavored) sea salt. I've yet to meet anyone who enjoys consuming the plain salt water and as a result, most Master Cleansers avoid the salt water flush completely.

The Internal Body Wash calls for one quart of hot water along with 1 tablespoon (3 teaspoons) of herbal sea salt. This creates a salty vegetable broth that can be enjoyed like you would a large bowl of soup.

If you're getting no results, dehydration could be an issue. If I'm feeling dehydrated when I wake up on the day of an Internal Body Wash, I drink a glass or two of water and then wait 30 minutes or more before drinking the herbal salt broth.

Another thing to try is to increase the herbal salt from 3 to 4 teaspoons.

Also ensure you drink herbal laxative tea the night before to loosen your bowels. You could also try drinking a cup of apple juice (or water) with a tablespoon of Epsom salts the night before.

Drinking herbal laxative tea in the morning or consuming anything but water prior to your Internal Body Wash could lead to nausea.

On the topic of nausea, gently and slowly rubbing your stomach and/or sucking on a small piece of candied ginger will likely provide relief. Also consider using EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) to settle any psychological or energetic influences that could be contributing to nausea. If you search for EFT at www.youtube.com you’ll find my five minute EFT demonstration as well as many other great EFT related resources.

Colonics are a good alternative to the Internal Body Wash. However, for those reading this who have yet to try an Internal Body Wash, you’ve got more than enough information here to get results and avoid nausea.

Thanks for your reply Craig, I think it must have been the laxative tea in the morning that caused my nausea. I'm pretty sure I wasn't dehydrated as I drink water throughout the night and my mouth and skin felt normal. I had been having a cup of the tea before bed and again in the morning. Maybe next time I'll try two at night instead and let them work away while I sleep (on my SacredGTranceNdance, by the way).
In any event I don't think I will try this again until the change of season in the spring or possibly over the Christmas holiday - I just started school right now and won't have a long enough break to do even 5 days, never mind 8 or 10.
Thanks for your help and for the learning experience. I'll try and remember to let you and other readers know how the modifications worked.
