I understand that cooking food takes away valuable vitamins and nutrients, but am wondering if microwaves used to cook food cause the body MORE harm than just baking with an oven or cooking on the stove.Of course 90% of American's use them, but are they safe? Do the microwaves cause molecular change to the food (I heard a story that a woman receiving microwaved warmed blood died from the blood transfusion.)Do the EMF(ElectroMagnetic Field) waves constitute a health hazard or cumulitave biological damage to the cells or not? Do they cause brain damage or cancers or not?Can anyone give me some proof or evidence in scientific studies that would help?I would just like to know the truth about this.

My nutritionist says it puts an inordinate amount of positive ions in your cooked food but, of course, i forget what the detrimental effects of them are. Maybe this could be a spring board to something though. Good luck with yur research.

100% yes..and you can find out for yourself..each day boil some water on the stove..and microwave some water...let cool....get two plants..water one with the microwave water and the other with the stove water.............the stove water plant will thrive..the microwave plant will die quickly...when you microwave something you are changing the molectiliar structure of it then injesting it.......kinda the same idea of transfats......

Don't know the technically correct answer to this question but I'm curious to find out what answers are offered. I can tell you from years of experience, the less cooked (essentially dead) food people eat whether microwaved or any cooked method the healthier they will be. Any nutritionist / doctor etc will tell you live foods are best for the body, which is why we tend to stay away from most processed, cooked (microwaved included) foods. Good luck in your search.

Hi! As far as a I know microwaves destroy a moleculal structure of water. It was some research about it and very impressibe images of water from the natural water source (lake for example) and water from the kitchen... shoking difference. Personally we do not use microwaves at home.
